2020 Touched By Suicide Virtual Memorial Walk

We hope you join us for our 14th annual TBS Walk in remembrance of those lost to suicide and to support local prevention programs, monthly support groups, and the Denton County LOSS Team.

TBS does only one fund raising event each year, so registrations and donations are the only way to keep our services active and available to those who need help and support.

We are doing something a little differently this year due to COVID-19, but we feel it will be just as memorable and are offing an interactive virtual recognition to remember our loved ones during a Facebook Live event on November 7th at 10am including the reading of names and a very special and touching individualized sugar paper ceremony (your loved one's name will be read as your message (as written below) will slowly dissolve in water).

Our virtual walk will be open for you to do any time, but we are asking people complete the walk between November 7th - 14th.

***SPECIAL NOTE***:  To be assured of receiving your Memorial Walk packed including Mask, Beads, and Care Card, you must register before October 28th.  We will do our best to fulfill registrations after that date but cannot promise they will arrive in time for November 7th. 

***** ALL registrations received by November 7th will participate in our 10am ceremony.*****

HOW TO MAKE THIS A MEMORABLE YEAR: Invite family and friends who live outside the DFW area or who might not be able to normally participate to register and participate in our virtual walk and activities.  

Touched By Suicide is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a 100% volunteer staff that supports prevention activities and provides free monthly support groups and materials for adults and teens that have lost a loved one to suicide. Our support groups meet in Denton, South Denton (Red Oak) and Flower Mound with the goal of providing hope and healing through healthy communication and a supportive environment.

Lost Child: White  -  Lost Spouse or Partner: Red  -  Lost Sibling: Orange  -  Lost Parent: Gold  -  A Personal Struggle or Attempt: Green

Family Member or Friend of Someone Who Has Struggles: Teal  -  Lost Relative or Friend: Purple  -  Lost First Responder or Military: Silver
